A book unfolds through a series of blind boxes. Each card offers a passage to read and a clue for piecing together history and unlocking the next chapter.
UNBOX A BOOK. DISCOVER A CLASSIC.
The project selects less-familiar classical sayings about learning and perseverance quoted in speeches by President Xi Jinping. Portrait line drawings, classical quotations, related speech excerpts and explanations share a single card, offering young readers a concrete starting point for exploring the classics.
The book takes the form of a series of blind boxes. Readers open boxes, draw paper cards and collect individual passages into chapters, piecing together their understanding of history through reading and arranging. Random discovery gives the experience an ongoing rhythm.

A PASSAGE TO READ. A CARD TO KEEP.
Line portraits and geometric patterns give each card its identity. A clear typographic hierarchy connects the historical figure, quotation and explanation. Cards can be read individually, while chapter structures and graphic clues encourage readers to arrange, compare and discover connections.
